Susan Margaret Darbyshire
taken from us on 12 august 2007
at the young age of 50
a brilliant housewife and mother
lived in bristol
wife to ken mum to jessica, matt, hannah and oliver nanny to rhys, owain, george, rhiannon and kadyn (to whom she never met) daughter to margaret and dennis and sister to angela, diane and jennie
after years of fighting and suffering from cancer she thankfully passed away in her sleep which is rightfully the way it should have been
there are not enough words in the world to describe my mum she was just the best her family always meant the world to her she was always happy and always there yes we had our moments but so does every mother and daughter relationship when she got ill she never showed any outwards sign of pain knew what she had to do and was willing to do it as spending time and living for her family was always top priority she was a very special lady and i am very proud to be able to say that she is my mum and my friend life is far too short but i believe she is watching over me and the rest of her family she meant the world to me after all you only get one mum and once shes goes nobody can ever fill that void in your life yes i am sad that i will never see her again but i am more relieved that she is no longer in pain and is now free from all the suffering so mum from me to you i love you loads but its your time to be free and i understand really i do.
Life Is Not The Same Without You
The sun still rises in the east
and darkness falls at night
but nothing now seems quite the same
each day is not as bright.
The birds still sing, the flowers grow,
the breeze still whispers too
but it will never ever be
the same world without you.
It's so sad that you had to go
your leaving caused such pain
but you were very special
and earth's loss is heaven's gain.
a poem for your birthday
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and prey that she'll come back
Or you can open you eyes and see all that she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live for yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she's gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close you mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she'd want,
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
